This presentation describes a join innitiative of the the Spanish National LIbrary and the Ontology Engineering Group. The portal datos.bne.es. allows access to the Spanish National Library catalogs in RDF.
Some interesting data:
* 4 Million authority records migrated
* 2.4 million of bibliographic records migrated
* 58 million of RDF triples
* 600K links with other resources
The Spanish data are modelled using IFLA vocabularies and they are linked with domain specific resources like VIAF, SUDOC, GND (the german National library), Libris and general ones like DBpedia. For the migration and linkage, we used Marimba, a particular tool developed by us and designed for being used by librarians.
