  • 3. CREATE NEW DATABASE <ul><li>Click on the Start button. </li></ul><ul><li>Point cursor at All Programs in the Start menu. A menu with a list of application software is displayed. </li></ul><ul><li>Move cursor to Microsoft Office and click on it. </li></ul><ul><li>Click on the Microsoft Access 2003 in the list of programs. </li></ul>

DATABASE OBJECTS <ul><li>Commonly used are: </li></ul><ul><li>Tables. </li></ul><ul><li>Queries. </li></ul><ul><li>Forms. </li></ul><ul><li>Reports. </li></ul><ul><li>For creating advance databases are: </li></ul><ul><li>Pages. </li></ul><ul><li>Macros. </li></ul><ul><li>Modules. </li></ul><ul><li>Groups. </li></ul>

CREATE A NEW DATABASE <ul><li>Click on File button. </li></ul><ul><li>Click on New button. </li></ul><ul><li>Select Blank Database on the New File Task pane (or press CTRL-N ). </li></ul><ul><li>New Database window is displayed. </li></ul><ul><li>Enter a custom name for the new database. </li></ul><ul><li>Click on Create to open the database. </li></ul>
  • 6. CREATING TABLES IN DESIGN VIEW <ul><li>Click on Tables in Database Window . </li></ul><ul><li>Double-click on Create table in Design view </li></ul>
  • 7. CREATING QUERY IN DESIGN VIEW <ul><li>Click on Queries in Database Window . </li></ul><ul><li>Double-click on Create query in Design view . </li></ul><ul><li>The Select Query Window and the Show Table dialog displays. </li></ul>
  • 8. CREATING A FORM IN DESIGN VIEW <ul><li>Click on Forms. </li></ul><ul><li>Click on New button </li></ul><ul><li>New Form allows you to choose whether you want to create your form in Design view, Form Wizard, AutoForm, Chart Wizard or Pivot Table Wizard. </li></ul>
  • 9. CREATING REPORT IN DESIGN VIEW <ul><li>Click on Reports in the Database Window . </li></ul><ul><li>Click on New . </li></ul><ul><li>The New Report dialog box will appear. </li></ul>

CREATING TABLE BY USING WIZARD <ul><li>Click on Tables in the Database Window . </li></ul><ul><li>Double click on Create table by using wizard. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose Business or Personal for the type of table to create. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose a table from these sample tables. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose the fields for your table. </li></ul>

CREATING A QUERIES BY USING WIZARD <ul><li>Click on Queries in Database Window . </li></ul><ul><li>Double click on Create query by using wizard. </li></ul><ul><li>The Simple Query Wizard dialog is displayed. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose a table. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose the available fields to construct your query. </li></ul>
  • 12. CREATE FORM BY USING WIZARD <ul><li>Click on Forms . </li></ul><ul><li>Double click on Create form by using wizard . </li></ul><ul><li>Choose tables/queries for creating the form. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose the fields for the form. </li></ul>
  • 13. CREATE REPORT BY USING WIZARD <ul><li>Click on Reports . </li></ul><ul><li>Double click on Create report by using wizard , and then Report Wizard will appear. </li></ul>
  • 14. EXIT MICROSOFT ACCESS <ul><li>Click on File . </li></ul><ul><li>Click in Exit to exit Access. </li></ul>
