Counseling and Guidance Philosophy <ul><li>In an international setting where cultural sensitivity, transition issues and family support are of particular importance, the purpose of the ASIJ K-12 counseling and guidance program is to provide services, support, and resources for students, parents, faculty/staff and administrators which facilitate the development of student academic, personal, and social skills. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Counseling and Guidance Philosophy - Translated <ul><li>Our belief is that students who feel good about themselves and who have the personal skills to communicate effectively achieve more and are successful both in and out of school. </li></ul>

Elementary Counseling and Guidance Major Components of the Program <ul><li>Classroom Guidance with a strong developmental/preventative focus presented to all students K-5. </li></ul><ul><li>Individual and small group counseling. </li></ul><ul><li>Consultation and collaboration with teachers, parents and </li></ul><ul><li>administrators. </li></ul><ul><li>Parent education </li></ul><ul><li>and support. </li></ul>
