About the Survey The survey was conducted with the AsiaBusinessInvestor.com database of 4,223 registered members across Asia and the Middle-East. It was also supplemented by participants from LinkedIn. The survey was conducted between July 14th and August 12th 2010. There were three main types of respondents that completed the survey. Investors in private and unlisted companies These are individuals and institutions they are seeking investments in private and unlisted companies in Asia. The investment range from under US$100,000 to well over US$100 million with the median investment level being between US$500,000 and US$1 million in a private or unlisted company. Those seeking investment and raising capital in private and unlisted companies These are individuals and organizations that are seeking private investors. Intermediaries Intermediaries provide support services to investors and those seeking investment. 16% Raising capital and seeking investors 45% Seeking to invest in private and unlisted companies Intermediaries 39% A total of n=258 respondents completed the survey with 39% being investors, 45% raising capital and seeking investors and also 16% being intermediaries. www.asiabusinessinvestor.com Page 2 of 6
