      • The process of improving web pages so they rank
      • higher in search engines for your targeted keywords.
      • SEO is the active practice of optimizing a web site by improving internal and external aspects in order to increase the traffic the site receives from search engines
      • The Title Tag:
      • The MOST important aspect of on-page SEO, each page should have a unique and short title, which helps Google know how the page distinct from the others.
      • Avoid : 1. Choosing a title that has no relation to the content on the page.
      • 2. Using vague titles like : “ Untitled” or “ New Page 1 “
      • 3. If the title too long, Google will show only a portion of it in the result.
      • The Meta Keywords and description:
      • Google uses the first 160 characters about (25 word) of your Meta “description” tag. This is gives the Google and another search engine a summary what the page is about.
      • Avoid : 1. Writing a description meta tag that has no relation to the content on the page
      • Example…….

      • Description: “ اخبار معكم يمكنك من الاطلاع على اخر أخبار الساعة ، اخبار محلية ، اخبار عالمية و اخبار منوعة بالاضافة لمشاهدة وقائع الأحداث السياسية والعلمية عن طريق المقاطع المرئية
      • Meta keyword: Google didn’t see Meta keyword.
      • Headings : <H1>keywords</H1> , <H2>keywords<H2>
      • logo for the main page should be H1.
      • Title of category/article/page should be H1.
      • 1st 200 characters of article/story/post should be H2.
      • Images:
      • All images should have meaningful and descriptive alt IMG attribute,
      • and shouldn’t exceed 6 words,.
      • Alt IMG= text in image .
      • The &quot;alt&quot; attribute allows you to specify alternative text for the image if it cannot be displayed for some
      • Reason
      • If a user is viewing your site on a browser that doesn't support images, the contents of the alt attribute provide information about the picture.
      • URLs:
      • URLs should be clean, without : = (# % $ & ! * +)
      • We shouldn’t have any URL that has more than 3-levels depth (/).
      • Example:

      • HTML sitemap:
      • Each site should have an html sitemap that lists all section titles as
      • Text links.
      • Each sitemap should not exceed 45000 URLs (old items should be in another xml).
      • Check if the URL is valid (Not truncated, Actual URL).
      • All pages should be there.
      • We explain it more later…….
      • Paging:
      • Paging area in the bottom of the page should have the title of the section after the words(alsabeq –altaly).
      • The numbers and the text in the paging set should have a title tag where we have the title of the section we are in.
      • Example ……
      • It should be ………..{ ديكور وادارة المنزل _ الصفحة 2 }
      • (alsabeq _ altaly)…… { ديكور وادارة المنزل تالية } ..{ ديكور وادرة المنزل سابقة }
      • Note: In Title tag should be also { ديكور وادارة المنزل _ الصفحة 2
      • Use “Bread Crumb” Link Navigation:
      • Effective link navigation between your pages can provide keyword
      • rich internal links, and assist your visitors in determining exactly
      • where they are on your site. A popular technique called “Bread
      • Crumb” can be used for this, and should not exceed three links.

      • Domain and Sub Domain Naming:
      • The shorter the domain name, the better.
      • Go from specific to generic : houseplans.com is better than planhouse.com
      • Submitting your site to Directories:
      • It is the best way to get Page Rank to new sites quickly. Although
      • Directories provide less traffic compared to search engine, the quality of that traffic can be better targeted as u are listed on a specific category, and in directories we can add the title and description of your site.

      • And according to the result you can arrange the content that you want for.
      • Avoid : 1. Writing text with many grammatical and spelling mistakes.
      • Anchor text is the clickable text that users will see as a result of a link,
      • the anchor tag <a href=&quot;...&quot;></a>.
      • Avoid :
      • 1. writing generic anchor text like &quot;page&quot;, &quot;article&quot;, or &quot;click here“.
      • 2. using text that is off-topic or has no relation to the content of the page linked to.
      • Sitemaps
      • A Sitemap greatly helps search engines to find your website and WebPages more faster and easily.
      • Google sitemaps are created using XML (Extensible Markup Language).
      • A Sitemap is an file that lists all of the available URLs for a site. It also provides web site owners the ability to put additional information about each URL:
      • the time and date it was last updated, how often the content of the web page changes?, and how important the web page is in relation to other URLs that belong to the site?.
      • In short , the Google Sitemap Protocol provides an easy way for search engines, primarily Google, to crawl the site more intelligently.

      • Change frequency :- XML tag may be set to one of seven frequencies: “never”, “yearly”, “monthly”, “weekly”, “daily”, “hourly”, or “always”.
      • Priority tag in sitemaps…
      • Priority values are relative within your website.
      • Valid priority values have range interval [0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0].
      • This means that the priority of your most important page should be [1.0].
      • The priority of other pages in the XML sitemap should decrease after importance.
      • Here are some examples of different types of pages and how their Priority sitemap XML tag value might be set, depending upon how important they are…
      • (0.8-1.0): Homepage, sub domains, product info, major features.
      • (0.4-0.7): Articles and blog entries, category pages, FAQs.
      • (0.0-0.3): Outdated news, info that has become irrelevant.

      • NEVER: Old news stories, press releases, etc.
      • YEARLY: Contact, “About Us”, login, registration pages.
      • MONTHLY: FAQs, instructions, occasionally updated articles.
      • WEEKLY: Product info pages, website directories.
      • DAILY: Blog entry index, classifieds, small message board.
      • HOURLY: Major news site, weather information, forum.
      • ALWAYS: Stock market data, social bookmarking categories.

      • I recommend minimizing the number of pages using JavaScript whenever possible. In addition, you should place your JavaScript in its own external .js file and link to it from within your pages.
