DEFINATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES  Define strategies clearly so their worth is easily analyzed  Plan through progressive stages: proposal, initial investigation, detailed investigation, development and testing, trail, operation and closure  Analyze the project to reduce, avoid or insure against risks  Focus on progress, rather than on completion of activities as this does not ensure that project goals will be met

CONCLUSION There is a need for organizations to link their projects back to their corporate strategies and to train project sponsors to increase the likelihood that projects will survive shifting organizational priorities. . Train Project Strategic Plan sponsors With a process in place to manage change and risk, project managers are better able to cope and deal with these challenges. Similarly, training of Project Sponsors will help to bring them on side so that resources are allocated in accordance with project importance.
