      • Today you are to:
        • Collaborate in your teams to define, explain and illustrate the five dimensions of meaningful learning
        • Negotiate your understanding of each dimension of meaningful learning via reciprocal teaching
      Objectives
      • Each group will have 10-15 min to teach your peers a specific dimension
        • The presenting group is to ensure rest of class understands the dimension
        • The rest of class is to ask questions to clarify
      Reciprocal Teaching
      • How might technology make learning more meaningful?
        • Students are already tech-savvy… so?
        • ICT can help engage students… how?
        • Technology allows learners to access information easily… so?
        • Technology makes learning authentic … how?
        • What else can you think of?
      Roles of technology
      • View the video (limited)
      • Consider the following questions:
        • Identify the dimensions of meaningful learning in the activities
        • What was the role of ICT in the activities?
        • What were the teacher and student roles?
      • Record your answers on this Google Spreadsheet
      • Preparation for Session 3
      • Select either the Malay ( Pri ) or Social Studies ( Pri ) lesson plan [ entire list ]
      • Go to Google Sites template page
        • Copy the Lesson Plan Critique Template
        • Share with your group mates
      Pre-Session 3 Activity
      • Use the template and critique the lesson plan as a group
        • Work online via Google Docs ( comment , edit)
        • At the end of the template, provide suggestions on how you would improve the lesson plan
        • Invite your tutor to view and comment
      • Be prepared to share your comments in class during Session 3
