    8. Why PPT?
      • Why PowerPoint? (or any slide show application?)
        • It addresses multiple intelligences by using color, images, shapes, sound, music, video (multimedia) etc. to reinforce the important points
        • Students can see, hear, or “feel” the concepts etc.
        • Customizable as an interactive tool. (Group or class games to practice or review concepts, i.e. Jeopardy, Millionaire, etc.)
        • When students share ideas and learning with PowerPoint, they are often more interested in a quality product. They are ENGAGED.
        • Presentations can be saved, placed on the web, emailed to students, etc
    9. Taking it to the next level
      • Incorporate various media into presentations by adding video clips and audio files
      • Use multimedia to connect content with real life examples
      • Multimedia presentations appeal to a wide variety of learning styles, while meeting important instructional goals.
      • Hyperlink pages within the presentation to external Web pages, as well as to other pages within the presentation.
