  • • Administration concept: The Administration is not a word has a meaning a general acceptance of his status as they may definition different terms, but the overall concept of management can be formulated as: A set of distinct activities directed towards efficient and effective use of resources, for the purpose of achieving the goal, or set of goals. This the overall concept: An administrative work includes a set of distinct activities, and these activities can be classified into four classifications are:• [Planning, organization, direction, control].•
  • DEFINITION OF ADMINISTRATION :• "is effective and efficient use of human resources, material and financial, information, ideas and time through the administrative processes of planning, organization, direction and control in order to achieve objectives"
  • THIS MEANS RESOURCES:• - Human Resources: The people who work in the organization. - Material resources: everything that exists in the organization of the buildings, equipment and machinery - Financial resources: All amounts of money that is used for the conduct of on going and long-term investments. - information and ideas: including numbers, facts and laws and regulations. - Time: the time available to complete the work.
  • • - Effectiveness: are intended to achieve the objectives of the Organization - Efficiency: It means the use of economic resources: the economy in the use of resources and get the best benefit and good use of them.
  • MANAGEMENT IS THE ART OR SCIENCE ?• Management is Art as it has to be the manager that has the ability to apply personal thoughts and theories and management principles in an intelligent way and to reflect the politic expertise, experience and practice.

  • MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS:First: Planning : Represents one of the functions of management. A report inadvance what must be done in the future to achieve the goalsestablished during the specified period of time. Is the workbefore implementation.We see from the definition that the planning work beforeimplementation, and forecasting is an essential part in theplanning process, provided that the predictable result of thisexperience in the past, and planning result in the generalobjectives and detailed investigation needs to develop a planis selected the time and procedures needed forimplementation.
  • PLANNING BENEFITS: 1 - planning is the starting point for the implementation ofthe rest of management functions. 2 - Planning helps the organization to face competition in themarket. 3 - Good planning leads to coordination between differentdepartments and sections, and increases understanding andcooperation between individuals and leads to the optimal useof resources and reduce production costs and raise quality inthe products. 4 - protects the organization from any shocks or surprises youmay encounter the organization in the future.

  • PLANNING CONSTRAINTS: 1 - difficulty of arriving to accurate foreseeing about theenvironmental variables in the activity of the organization. 2 - the difficulty of obtaining adequate and reliable information onwhich the process of planning and defining goals. 3 - planning process seeking the of change and development,innovation and find in most cases, resistance from some leadersand individuals. 4 - lack of commitment by some staff of the administrative leadersand other influential individuals to the planning process. 5 - the planning process need to be deep pockets and need timeand effort to accomplish this may not be available in theOrganization.
  • SECOND: ORGANIZATION" Organization is a framework that collects and arranges andcoordinates the efforts of individuals in order to achieve specificobjectives"Represents one of the functions of management. It means all thework on which to activities and functions of the Organization, suchas the function of financial and marketing and to identifydepartments(such as financial management and marketing management), andits divisions and its committees, and relationships of thesecomponents with each other through the identification of authorityand responsibility, delegation, and centralization anddecentralization, and the scope of supervision .. And others in orderto achieve the goal.

  • THIRD: DIRECTING AND SUPERVISION:Is to guide and motivate subordinates in the execution of thework in order to achieve the objectives of the organization.We need directive in order to ensure the safety of theapplication set in plans and the proper use of organizationalrelationships.
  • SUPERVISION : PROVIDES US WITH THREE TOPICS: 1.Communication, 2.leadership and supervision, 3.human motivation.• First: Contact: A process whereby the transfer or financing of information and opinions .... From side to side to inform them and influence their behavior and thinking, and directing them in the right direction required in order to ensure business continuity in the organization.• Second: Leadership and Supervision: The main task of the leader is to make the effort and work to influence his subordinates and direct their activities in an atmosphere of cooperation towards the achievement of the target originally in the plan.• Third : human motivation: Known as force or sense of internal moves and activates the behavior of the individual to satisfy the needs and desires of a certain order to alleviate the tensions associated with a lack of satisfying those needs and desires.
  • FOURTH: CONTROLLING Represents one of the administrative functions which is a process of assessing the actual activity of the administrative organization and compared the activity of the administrative scheme, and then identify deviations in a descriptive way in order to take or the amount necessary to address the deviations.• Control provide us with the following functions: 1. Make sure that the functions of management are being implemented according to what is planned. 2. Reveal negative deviations and treatment and to identify and strengthen the positive deviations. 3. Aimed to make optimum use of financial and human resources, material and raise production efficiency. 4. Reveal to us the level of actual performance of individuals
