  • 1. Research Assistant Professor Position in Data Center NetworksThe High-Speed Networking Lab (http://eeweb.poly.edu/chao) at Polytechnic Institute of New York University, led byProf. H. Jonathan Chao, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor to conduct research in data center networks.The person will have opportunities to work with researchers from academic and industry communities and to conductinternational collaborations.Major Responsibilities:- Conduct independent and collaborative research in the area of data center networks- Writing research proposals- Co-supervising graduate students- Teaching two networking courses per yearResearch Topics (including but not limited to):- Data center network architecture- Traffic engineering in data center networks- Security and reliability in data center networks- Virtual network designsRequirements:- Solid background in computer networks- Proven research capabilities (e.g., publications, patents, proposals, implemented projects)- Good teamwork and communication skills- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline- Highly self-motivatedApplication:- Please email your CV, research statement, most significant publications or project descriptions, and three referencesto Prof. Chao (chao@poly.edu)- The position is offered with very attractive compensation and benefits with a term of 2 years starting from July 1st,2012.
