    • Training for Family Medicine residents about:
      • Managing the care of cancer survivors
  • 3. Objectives
    • Provide residents with knowledge of survivors’ care needs:
      • Surveillance for recurrence
      • Prevention of new cancers, screening for second primaries
      • Intervention for late and long-term effects of treatment
      • Quality of life
  • 4. Audience
    • 2nd- and 3rd-year Family Medicine residents from accredited programs
  • 5. Format
    • Four-week rotation
      • Longer term experience available
    • Rotate through various clinical areas
    • Attend lectures, conferences
    • Participate in self-paced study, prescribed reading, journal articles, Web-based materials
  • 6. Curriculum
    • Can design rotation to meet each resident’s learning objectives and home program requirements
      • Within certain parameters
