2. Description of the process:
I visited 3 stores and tried (unsuccessfully)
to complete all the items present on the
Observation Lab.
After looking at some other students works, I
saw that I didn't pay attention even at the
description of the assignment and was being
too methodical.
3. What I usually didn't pay attention to:
- The difference between an open and a closed
door.
- Different heights of ceiling among stores and
the different sensations produced by it.
- Background music playing.
- Location of the items "for sale" (which was
usually central).
4. One interesting thing I learned:
I learned that you can have problems taking
photographs inside a store. Maybe prohibiting
photographs is an opportunity of free
advertising being lost. Most of the people that
take the photographs don't seem to be trying to
steal ideas.
Disturb people inside the store by enforcing
that policy looks like a great way to lose
potential customers.
