Alexander RoseConvergent MediaProfessor Schrier2/15/12 Star Wars Paper For my project I researched the audience of the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic,An MMORPG created by Bioware and Electronic Arts. In this game the creators implemented a newstory telling system that has never been seen before in the genre. The system allowed the audience tochoose how their character interacts with people in the world and make decisions in the game that haddynamic effects in the user’s game. My first goal was to see how this new mechanic had affected theaudience specifically in the aspect of player immersion in the game environment. My second goal was tothen see how users felt having more or less people in the game affected their experience as well. To findthis out I decided to get feedback from the player base through the game itself and through the forumsthat are associated with the game.
