Preflight is the process of analyzing source or non-PDF digital files prior to their insertion in a prepress workflow to ensure that they are ready for their intended purpose.

Digital Artwork Requirements The following artwork requirements are given to everyone who wishes to give us digital artwork. If you read and follow these suggestions, we will be able to get your labels to you in a more timely fashion. If the following requirements are not followed, this could result in an additional charge for artwork time. * If you do not have one of these, we can make arrangements for your electronic information to be transferred to one of our formats. TYPE & POINT SIZES: o All lines and strokes must be at least half a point wide. If they are narrower the lines may look wavy on final printed piece. o 6 Pt. type is smallest size we can guarantee for clarity. o Serif or italic fonts, when reversed, need to be at least 10 pt. o four color process type must be larger than 12 Pt., if not, you can use spot color. COLORS: o See a list of our stock colors under ESTIMATES. o Always indicate PMS #'s in file o Provide color proof with your disk o ETC, ETC, ETC - NORMALLY MANY PAGES LONG!!!!
