The Friends of the Arlington Public Library was established in 1983 as a nonprofit organization with a mission to:Bring together and maintain an organization of persons interested in books, libraries, facilities and needs Promote public awareness and community support for the Arlington Public Library System and its educational activities Encourage gifts and fund raising activities
The Friends raise funds to support the Library through book sales and Book & Author luncheons that are held in the spring and fall each year.Book sales Book & Author Luncheons• Donations of books and audiovisual • Showcases metroplex authors materials are accepted at all library • October 21 locations.
