  • Only 1 type of account for everyone, but you can have a verified account for Brands/persons. Twitter is really good to sent out Short messages about your company, New items, new look, change in price, etc etc. Search engines love Twitter and they check the website Continously. If people talk about your Brand, your tweet you could get lots of Free publicity all around the world even. Your Twitter account should have a professional looking background, Representing your website/brand. The background is not “clickable”, But should contain your website URL or telephone numbers/contact details. Best size is max 300kb and 1600x1200px. ( nice example http://twitter.com/garyvee ) Your username(SEO) and bio should contain exactly what you represent, the bio is the most important SEO feature of your account.People can also find you on your name, location and even email, so keep that in mind to. What is amazing about Twitter is that it has thousands of applications built for you to use, almost all are FREE. You can follow people and visa versa, all those who are following you, will receive your updates on their newspage. They can choose to your message to their followers and that will create a small viral message.
  • How to add your Twitter to your facebook page? When you post on Facebook, you also post on Twitter. Technology isn’t that scary after all. How to add your Twitter updates to your Facebook page? Go to : http://www.facebook.com/selectivetwitter Add to the page of your choice Or you can use an other application or desktop app like:
  • How to connect your RSS feed to Twitter? There are some tools available on the internet, of which I like Twitterfeed the most. You will need to open an account, which is free, and there you can setup your feed so it will connect with your Twitter account of choice. What is nice of Twitterfeed is that it will tell you how often a Link is clicked. If you want or have multiple social media accounts, then I advice to use Hootsuite . It will let you handle all your accounts from a single tool. There is a free and paid version, just depends on how many accounts you want to handle. How to add a Twitter widget to your website? Widgets And then choose your settings, copy the code generated and place the code on the page you want.
  • Youtube is now the number 2 search engine. 50 Million users and 100 million monthly visitors 24 hours of video uploaded every minute! Youtube videos can be embedded on your website, can be connected to Facebook. You can place your URL and detailed information next to the video. You can even make money with video addsense! Youtube provides Insights to your channel, give you data about demographics, views and how People found your channel etc etc. All videos produce their own RSS feed, or you can combine all feeds into 1. You can create a custom background for your video channel. People/users can subscribe to your Youtube channel.The videos with the most views popup higher in the youtube search engine, and you want the most views! Title, tags are important for people to find your video. You can also download videos from youtube and upload them in your own account. This cannot be done with videos which have copyrights! You can have your latest upload activity Show up on the following social sites;
  • How to open a Youtube account and use it properly? 1) Go to http://www.youtube.com and click “create Account” If you already have a Google account then it is easy, you can connect to Youtube. If you do not have a Google account, you must create one. 2) The name of your youtube channel is important, As that will become also your URL, and thus important for SEO! After creating or connecting to your Google account, you are ready. You can start by inviting your friends staff, anyone you like. 3) Customize your Youtube channel page. Go to Settings and Change the Title and add tags on how you wish to have your Channel found by users. 4) All the default settings are mostly ok, but I reccommend changing the colors and background. (see steps 1-7 on how to add the photo) If you have a design or photo of your website you can upload it here. ( best file size is 2000x2000 px and max 256 kb) Layout: It is important to understand that YouTube will center your background image behind your channel content. This means that your important image content should appear just to the left and right of the 960 pixel center column. It also means that people with large or widescreen monitors will see much more of your image stretching out to the right and left of their screen. This is why it’s good to use a very wide image. 5) Ready for uploading videos! This can be done straight from Your desktop/laptop or even mobile phone. Do not forget to “Like” your own videos, it is a vote! Source picture: Mashable
  • How to embed your Youtube video on your website? Under each Youtube video, there is this container, click on “embed”. Now if you want to customize The embeded video go here; http://www.vtubetools.com/ there you can change everything you want For free! Recommended is that you place a Facebook “like” button under the embeded video for optimal integration and perhaps even the comment/discussion plugin of Facebook.

  • Foursquare was one of the first Location Based Services (LBS). It let's your friends know where you are or have been. You can check in in “venues” where you can become a “Mayor” if you have the most checkins in that venue. Companies can give discounts or special offers to the mayor of their venue. Foursquare is ideal for LSM. It's a kind of a game, but becoming very popular. People can see what is going on in their city or where they are ad, and they can go and checkin in those places which have specials for mayors. Foursquare can be integrated with other Social Media sites, like Facebook and the people there will also see what their friends are doing. On the venue people can again “Like”your venue, generating those important votes for ranking. Foursquare is ideal for extra takeout orders if you are in the delivery business. If you market your Entrance , showroom that you have specials for Foursquare mayors, then this will generate extra Buzz also. Always crosspromote all your social media activities on all your accounts and websites. Over 3 million users within 1 year! Checkins can only be done with mobile internet, and on the exact GPS coordinates. Connect to your social sites and invite friends from: Bonus: Ideal to check your staff managers/sales people where they have been and when! Other popular LBS are Gowalla and Loopt

  • How to setup your website for the mobile internet? About 25-50% of the population uses the mobile internet and you will have to setup your website so the mobile user can surf your website with ease. This requires some programming but there are simple and easy tools.The design will not be optimal this way, so if you want a good looking site for the mobile users You should create an application for it, which people can download to their mobile phone. I would strongly advice to hire someone to create your mobile website and or built your application. 1. setup a subdomain called www.m(o).yourdomain.com 2. Google’s Conversion Utility - This is as simple as it gets. Just need to enter the URL of your website, check the option for ‘No Images’ if you do not want images to appear, then click on ‘GO’ button. This is free, but not all websites can be converted with this tool! Good example for mobile is: http://edition.cnn.com/mobile/
