Round 2: Advanced MLA citation!<br />As before, you will work in your peer review groups to create short PowerPoint-style presentations that demonstrate how to format several types of commonly-used sources. <br />You’ll present your work at the end of the round.<br />Your presentations will be judged on:<br />Correctness<br />Clarity<br />Style<br />As before, there are prizes!<br />Seacrest you disgust me.<br />OMG Simon this is too hard.<br />
  6. 6. Round 2: Advanced MLA citation!<br />You’ll work inside MSU Google Docs (in the “MLA Idol” folder) for easier sharing and presenting.<br />Use your McGraw-Hill Handbook to help you. You should also consider using the Purdue OWL, a great online resource. http://owl.english.purdue.edu/<br />Each team will have a different, specific source to document. I will give you the sources.<br />

Round 2: Advanced MLA citation!<br />To Qualify, Your Presentation MUST:<br />Identify your source, and what KIND of source it is;<br />Contain a Works Cited page entry for that source, and explain the entry; and<br />Contain a sample sentence that includes source material and an in-text citation from that source.<br />General Guidelines:<br />MAXIMUM of 3 slides.<br />Clearly explain how to create your citations. Your classmates are counting on you. <br />Put your names on the presentations.<br />Save your presentations as “Team#Presentation”<br />

  9. 9. Peer review: project 2<br /><ul><li>As before, Peer Review will happen in MSU Google Docs. If you have a hard copy of your paper, I’ll come around and take it.
  10. 10. Everyone will have their own peer review worksheet to fill out as before.
  11. 11. Make sure to put your papers in your group folders, which are located inside the “WRA110742_Project2” folder.</li></li></ul><li>Wrap-up<br /><ul><li>As before, your homework will be to peer review the other individual in your group so that everyone has been reviewed by everyone else.
  12. 12. YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR PEER REVIEW BY FRIDAY, MARCH 4 AT 5PM. YES, IT HAS TO BE DONE BEFORE SPRING BREAK BEGINS.Just do it and then you won’t have to worry about it over break, okay?
  13. 13. I’ll review everyone’s Project 2 rough drafts and give general feedback on the website on Friday.
