The Parampara project aims to create a rural co-operative in the areas around the campus of BITS Pilani.
The whole project is a student initiative completely and is currently in the last stage, when the dependency of the co-operatives created, on the students is being decreased.

  3. 3. <ul><li>Objectives: </li></ul><ul><li>The project aims to build a self-sustained women’s cooperative in rural Pilani, and has two major objectives: </li></ul><ul><li>To create entrepreneurs from among the women folk in rural Pilani </li></ul><ul><li>2. To build a replicable model of setting up a cooperative business unit in a rural setup </li></ul>

Implementation model <ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>The project is being implemented in three phases: </li></ul><ul><li>Phase-1:Identifying a group of women and engaging them in an income generation activity to build the foundation of the cooperative </li></ul><ul><li>2. Phase-2: Building a self sustained cooperative around the group </li></ul><ul><li>3.Phase-3: Bringing in micro finance into the cooperative to make it financially sound. </li></ul>
