  • 3. ¿ What is WorldCALL ?
    • It is a worldwide professional association for teachers and educators interested in computer assisted language learning
  • 4. Aims :
    • Provides a worldwide focus for the promulgation of innovative research, development and practice in the areas of Computer Assisted Language Learning ( CALL ) in education and training;
    • Enhances the opportunities for knowledge and skills transfer to those nations currently underserved in the areas of CALL; and
    • Serves as a forum for exchanging information anf forging professional relationships among educators, researchers and industry leaders across the world.

    • 1998 in Melbourne, Australia
    • 2003 in Banff, Canada
    • 2008 in Fukuoka, Japan organized by the Japan Association for Language Education and Technology ( LET )
  • 6. 1998: vintage for CALL
    • 1998: WorldCALL Conference, organized by June Gassin at the University of Melbourne
    • WorldCALL book was originated from this conference (Swets & Zeitlinger)
  • 7. 450 participants from 50 countries
