  2. 2. Are technical services handled on site?<br />Mostly not…<br />Most library books and materials are ordered from Follet<br />Follet ordered books come with labels and barcodes already assembled<br />

Procedures<br />Fast Facts<br />Call supervisor’s office for a label request<br />Staff retrieves label information<br />Label with call number and barcode are made and sent over to school.<br />Any creation of MARC record is done there<br />It only takes 1 hour to have labels made<br />$12 buys 60 labels <br />Paid from internal accounts<br />What if materials arrive without labels?<br />

Acquisition functions: order, receipt, workflow<br />Supervisor’s office handles ordering and receipts<br />Follet is the preferred company<br />Order with Lawson number (School District Employee number)<br />Complete checklist when materials are delivered <br />Send completed checklist to the supervisor <br />Company gets paid<br />
