  • 2. Current situation Amount of elearning and distance education has increased Strategic choices Investments to Support services Staff, support for the development of teachers’ online teaching skills, equipment, software
  • 3. Strategy -> where we are now?
    • Strategic choice: to implement adult education (degree programmes) online
    • Tools used:
      • iLinc virtual classroom
      • Moodle
      • Social media (Wordpress, MediaWiki etc.)
    • At the moment approx. 20 000 hours of use of virtual classroom (iLinc) in Lapland per month
    • 96% of teachers teach online
    • Approx. 500 students who study mainly on online
    • 5+2 persons in eLearning support services
