Competing apps:
From researching the different apps we have noticed that there are many different learning/revising
apps. For example, the CGP revision apps.
These apps consist of hundreds of quick-fire questions, with coverage of the AQA, Edexcel, OCR
Gateway and OCR 21st
Century exam boards.
-the way in which we collected this data was by going onto the internet and researching different
learning/revising apps.
We showed these apps to several different members of the public and then we showed them the
Scenario Map of our app. After allowing them to view both apps in detail, we asked them which app
the believe is better in solving and addressing the problem of pupils not being able to feel
comfortable with the style of learning within the app. Most people we asked said our “Study Star”
app was much better in solving the problem. One person said “the CGP apps consist of a very
standard theme and structure throughout, and because of this I think that they only have on learning
style within them. Whereas you’re app is much more original and has lots of different features to it
that make it suited to all learning styles”.
-the way in which we collected this data was simply by visiting peoples’ houses who lived on our
neighbourhood and asking them if they were happy to answer a set of question about our Study Star
app, and many of them were.
