Mercer Mayer<br />-He’s an American children’s book writer and illustrator best know for “Little Critter” and “Little Monster”.<br />-Mayer’s first book had no words,<br />it told the story through his<br />illustrations, many gave him<br />credit as being one of the creators of the wordless picture form.<br />-He collaborated with his wife<br />Marianna to create the book<br />Beauty and the Beast<br />

Erroll Le Cain<br />-Errol Le Cain was a British <br />animator and <br />children's book illustrator.<br />-His art work was most noted for his richly decorative watercolors and masterful command of design.<br />- He won the Kate Greenway Medal in 1985, it was establish in the United Kingdom to honor children illustrators. <br />

  16. 16. Jane Brett<br />-Jan Brett retells the story in spare, fluent<br /> prose and illustrates it with magical pictures.<br />-As she travels shestudiesthe traditions of the many countries and itinspiresher as a starting point for her children's books. <br />

  22. 22. Katy Bratun<br /><ul><li>Katy is an author and illustrator she lives in Salem, Massachusetts
  23. 23. Her inspiration for her illustrating comes from real people.
  24. 24. For this project she want it the gestures to be as natural as possible. </li></li></ul><li>

Conclusion<br /> The meaning of such great fairy tale is that,<br />"[Beauty] comes to see that under<br />[the beast's]physical ugliness there is<br />something thatis reallyvery beautiful but ittakes perception.  It's a way of saying you've got to like the worldeven if it doesn't look so beautiful [at] first."<br />-Sheldon Kranz<br /><br />
