away from their devices during supposed
“interaction time” with others.
• Too absorbed into online activity
• Tend to neglect the presence of others around
them.

• 73 % of the students think that RGS 1:1 would
not reduce interaction among classmates.
• Sample size: 80 out of 109 students surveyed

College students
• 42% of students find it necessary to have their
mobile phones with them all the time.
• 98.8% use their computers for social
networking.
• 94% use their computers for work or research.
