Case StudiesEagle PicherGrand Sierra ResortInnovative DesignSES designed a unique Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant for EP Minerals. The CHP combines electrical generation with thermal generation to provide very high operational efficiencies. Recently completed, at this very early stage of operation, operating efficiencies have exceeded the design expectations. The anticipated resultant cost savings will provide a return on investment in under 3 years. Energy SavingsSES worked with GSR facility engineers to identify opportunities for reducing energy usage in their chilled water system. By implementing recommended improvements, the GSR was able to reduce the run time on their second chiller by more than 350 hours in the first month of operation, saving more than 180,000 kWhr and $20,000 in the first month alone.
