Park Güell is a public park system located in Barcelona, Spain composed of gardens and architectural elements designed by renowned Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Eusebi Güell commissioned Gaudí to design the park between 1900-1914 for an exclusive housing development, though only two homes were built. While the housing development failed, the park was opened to the public in 1926 and features Gaudí's signature undulating forms, mosaic tile work, and use of local materials like stone. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Gaudí's most famous works showcasing his organic, non-rectilinear style.
