.The guitar is said to have originated about 3,300Yrs. Ago and that it may of
came from central Asia and India.
. The word guitar descents from the Latin word; cithara,
but it isn’t believed to have come from Roman instrument
.the guitar used to consist of 4 strings, but now they usually
contain 6 strings.
3. Amplification
• An amplifiers is any device that changes the amplitude of a
signal.
• Marshall amplification gives off a heavior sound; distortion,
than other amps back in the 60’s and still does.
• Currently there are tens if different types of amplifiers but
Marshall is considered one of the best.
4. Guitar Picking
. The guitar pick is a plectrum used on a instrument such as a guitar.
. Picks are shaped as a isosceles triangle.
.A pick usually measures to a max of 2mm. thick
but most differ to .50mm. thick.
.Picking makes it easier to strum faster on the
guitar and its makes it easier to keep up with a
beat.
. Using a pick thinner than 1.5mm. Allows more
control over heavy gauge strings.
. The pick is place between the thumb and the
index finger and the pointed end facing the
string.
