    • Espair insurance company limited was incorporated in the year 2009 and is expected to grow and develop steadily to have the greater percentage of the insurance industry in the country before the end of the first two (2) years of operating.
    • Espair currently has six branches nationwide and expected to have a nation wide coverage in the first two (2) years of being in existence. Espair growing financially and also with so much assets portfolio ensures prompt payment of claims, consistent growth and development and fulfilment of its social responsibilities particularly in the field of sports, education and the health sector.
    • With commitment and zeal, Espair is posed to be a leader in the insurance industry in Ghana and play a meaningful role in the industry with its philosophy- sevice at your comfort.
    • We seek to build and form dynamic resourceful and proficient insurance company with the commitment and determination to serve the insurance needs of Ghanaians and set high standard of performance in all aspect of insurance industry. This will lead to ultimate improvement in the life of Ghanaians

  • 6. OBJECTIVES OF ESPAIR INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED
    • To provide easier and flexible assessment of claim to customers.
    • To provide capital that the community needs to quickly rebuild and recover economically from natural disasters.
    • Shortest possible customer settlement.
    • To share losses of individuals or cooperate bodies among many.

    • COMBINED FIRE AND BURGLARY POLICY
    • It is a combination of Fire & Allied Perils and Burglary risks under one policy.
    • The contingencies covered are as follows:-
    • a. Fire, Lightning, Explosion, Thunder bolt
    • b. Earthquake
    • c. Storm Tempest, Hurricane, Tornado and Flood
    • d. Aircraft and other Aerial Devices and Articles dropped there from.
    • e. Riot, Strikes and Civil Commotion
    • f. Bursting or Overflowing of Water Tanks, Apparatus or Pipes
    • g. Impact
    • h. Theft following actual forcible and violent breaking into or out of Private Dwelling House or Business Premises.

    • CONTRACTORS’ ALL RISK
    • WHAT IT COVERS It is property insurance by which any building or civil engineering project under construction is protected against accidents re-sulting in physical damage to or the destruction of works in progress, materials and other similar items brought to site . It can be extended to cover Third Party Liability. It is an all risk policy. REQUIREMENT FOR TAKING THE POLICY There must be an actual construction work in progress. BASIC POLICY CONDITIONS It is subject to deductibles (excess) Wear and tear, deterioration due to lack of use and normal atmosphere conditions are not covered. It is an indemnity policy and therefore loss / damage repairable comprise the cost of repairs necessary to restore the items to their condition immediately before the occurrence of damage less salvage. WHY TAKE THE POLICY Construction works and materials used are very expensive and as such there should be an insurance cover for them in case of any mishap. PROCEDURE FOR TAKING THE POLICY 1. Completion of proposal form. See forms page 2. A fixed premium is charged for the duration of cover.

    • GOODS-IN-TRANSIT
    • WHAT IT COVERS It covers legal liability transporters may incur out of loss of or damage to goods being transported from one location to another. The owner of the goods may also take the policy. CLASSES OF COVER (a) Annual policy (b) One carriage policy ... REQUIREMENT FOR TAKING THE POLICY The transporters or owners of the goods depending take it on who carries the risk of carriage. BASIC POLICY CONDITIONS (A) It is an all risk policy and may however be restricted to specific risk e.g. fire and theft (B) It is subject to an excess BENEFIT UNDER THE POLICY Motor insurance cover does not cover loss or damage to goods being carried on the insured’s vehicle nor goods being carried on any other vehicle it may be involved in an accident with. This policy therefore fills the vacuum created by the above condition.

    • MARINE CARGO
    • WHAT IT COVERS It compensates for financial loses resulting from loss of or damage to goods arising out of maritime disaster. The policy may also be extended to cover loses arising from road conveyance from the warehouse of the exporter to the port and / or from the port to the warehouse of the importer. Depending on the terms of sale, loss of freight and cost of insurance may also be insured by either the exporter or the importer.   REQUIREMENTS Depending on the contract of sale, the insurance may be affected by either the exporter or the importer. WHY TAKE THE POLICY Since it is expensive to trade in / import goods from overseas, it makes it possible for people to engage in such activities without the fear of loosing their investment. CLASSES OF COVER CLASS A: This is an all risk policy and offers the widest cover. It covers loss of or damage to the subject matter insured except those that the policy excludes CLASS B: This covers losses arising out of major sea perils and Others like washing overboard, Jettison, Earthquake CLASS C: This gives the least coverage. It covers loses arising Out of major sea perils like capsizing of vessels. Fire or explosion, General Average and Jettison.

    • MOTOR INSURANCE
    • Indemnity for damage or loss of the vehicle insured as a result of an accident, theft or attempted theft or fire. Legal liability for damage to the property of third parties or for injury or death of third parties arising from the use of the Motor vehicle.
    • BENEFITS UNDER THE POLICY It is required by law that all motor vehicles used on public roads carry at least an ‘Act only’ cover. The insured is relieved of huge financial burden he may be called upon to pay in connection with the use of the vehicle. Society as a whole benefit regardless of the financial standing of the vehicle owner, accident victims are compensated.
    • CLASSES OF COVER (A) ACT ONLY COVER It covers the insured in respect of any liability (unlimited) that he may incur as a result of the death of or bodily injury to any person caused by or arising from the use of the motor vehicle. This is the minimum cover required by the third party insurance act of 1958. (B) THIRD PARTY COVER This covers legal liability arising from:- (I) damage to third party property (limited). (II) injury or death to third parties (unlimited).
    • (C) THIRD PARTY FIRE AND THEFT This covers legal liability arising from: - (I) Damage to third party property (limited) (II) Injuries or death to third parties (unlimited). (III) In addition, it covers the insured’s vehicle for loss or damage caused by fire, theft or attempted theft to the extent of the insured value.
    • (D) COMPREHENSIVE This is the widest cover and covers the following: - (I) Loss or damage to the insured’s vehicle either by fire, theft ,attempted theft or accident. (II) Medical expenses of the insured, driver or any occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident up to a specified amount (limited to private cars) (III) The insured’s legal liability for bodily injuries or death to the third party (unlimited) (IV) The insured’s legal liability for damage to properties of third parties (limited)

    • WORKMENS COMPENSATION
    • WHAT IT COVERS It covers the employer for liability towards the payment of compensation to employees for bodily injury and to their dependants in the event of fatal accidents (ie death) arising out of or in the course of their employment.
    • BENEFITS UNDER THE POLICY The employer (policy holder) is relieved of the troubles of worrying about being saddled with huge legal liability as a result injury or death of employees arising out of or in the course of employment.
    • BASIC POLICY CONDITION The cover is for employees under contract of service only as against independent contractor who is employed under contract for service

    • Miss Edith Ashitey is my name and I am occupying the office of the general secretary of Espair insurance company limited based on my personality trait. My responsibility is mainly based on keeping of records, files and details that are at the heart of Espair insurance company and are important for the operation of the organisation.
    • As an ISFJ, I take my responsibilities seriously and dislike doing things which do not actually make since to me which helps me to be prepared to document all meeting activities by maintaining an attendance log and transcribing minutes during board meetings work long and hard to see that jobs get done so that I can be depended on to follow things through completion and store information which I gather about people and this helps me to assist and guide the directors in their pursuit of profit and growth and also act with integrity and independence to protect the interest of the company.
    • I have excellent communication skills, a thorough knowledge of the company’s business and applicable regulations, strength of character, integrity and above all a professional approach. Kindness can not be left out from trait. Because of kindness on my path i have attracted a number of people who trust me to also trust the company in which i belong. i can also talk about me being considerate, self-oriented and like creating structure and order which help me in planning and scheduling meeting and appointments , organizing and maintaining paper work and act as the face of an organization.

    • I am miss Abubakar Ramatu ,the human resource manageress of Espair insurance company limited. Someone may ask why that position? Relating to my personality trait, as an extrovert and choleric as well I have the ability to control my taught and action in order to achieve what I want to do. Being quick, active and strong willed am able to anticipate into the future. Example after two (2)years, the company will need new labour since some employees may go on retirement. A self sufficient and decisive staff. I am not easily influenced during recruitment in order not to employ wrong people. I come out with concrete and constructive decision for the growth of the organization on ;how to do,when to do, what to do.
    • To add to the above I force those inefficient employees to come out with the best in them this makes me not to sympathise easily .I believe in strictness and good supervision though I am a nice person . therefore I am very honest and loyal with the co-workers and the organisation as a whole there is a saying that ‘’honesty is the sole of business’. We therefore take genuine and warm interest in the labour making, me being the mouthpiece of the organisation I open up to all views and stand on definite issues before judging ,which enhances labour effectiveness . This has coupled with much efficiency and greater output for the organisation in the last period of the business activities.

    • Krowah Andra is my name and i am occupying the most essential part of Espair insurance company limited. As we all know, for a product to make a very good name and market, it all depends on the marketing strategy. An example to site is the UT financial service. Now it appear to be the only quick way to access loan. my duty here in this company is to announce and to project the name of Espair insurance company limited and also finding prospective client to do business with.
    It is my duty as the marketing manageress to set target and make sure they are accomplished. My personality trait shows clearly that i am the out going type, effeiocient and well organized, and naturally i can convince people orally to transact business with my company. At espair insurance company, there is a clear mode of distribution system. The company both employs direct sales and the agency building system to distribute it’s products. The channels employed includes, exclusive agent salaried marketing officers and brokers. This therefore rely heavily on agency building system, but maintains the direct marketing channels through the use of branch head office staff. 1.A proposal form is completed manually or online to disclose: information, identification, situation of the property insured. 2. premium is calculated on the basis of risk based on the survey report and the nature of items to be insured. 3.claims procedure: prompt and thorough investigation followed by claims survey report conduction and a claim form is completed.     • My office has been charged with coordinating request of our branch offices to the head office. Our main objective has been to help greatly in streaming the efficient services provided by our branch offices especially with branch processing which will meet over a 100% increase in claims processed as compared to previous institution or our organizations. We are working to drastically improve the response time of our branch offices so as to give our customers or clients the best of services in the organization. The ability and the
    personality traits instilled in me has coupled through self sacrificing in the delivery of tasks. Sensitivity, self centred, easy to get on with, dependability posed towards the top management and easiest person to get on with. This has introduced the ability to strongly organise organisational task, and the dislike of personal logic and analysis. There is also the ability of creativity. I have also the capabilities of valuing peoples feelings. All of these come with the combination of melancholy trait and that of ENFJ of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI).     • Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
    • I am Pearl Naa Asheley Ollennu, the MIS manageress of ESPAIR Insurance Company Ltd. I am responsible for querying databases to get(daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly) information concerning first time insurer’s, number of sales made, types of insurance sold from various branches,etc. to management aiding decision making.
    • I also track performance of sales against set targets for the various branches. I design templates such as excel formats and graphics for employees. For instance an excel sheet for the various branches in which the services we provide are listed and they will then record the various activities (i.e. number of sales made, customers preferences, etc.) of their various departments.
    • My team often introduces business softwares and programs which links the various departments and branches to the head office. We often organize ICT training to making our workers professionally competent. I am also responsible for the maintenance of the computers, fax machines, printers, etc of the organization.
    • One might ask, ‘why the Management Information Systems manageress?’
    • As a caregiver that is an ESTJ from the MBTI’s school of thought. I enjoy creating order, structures and schedules. I also enjoy interacting with people and hence perform well in team work.
    • I am dependable and for that reason I help management in decision taking.
