    • Population:3.6 million people
    • Total Area:25,174 square miles
    • Capital City: Vilniuas
    • Official Language: Lithuanian
  • History
    • During the day of the 24 th , of December people go with out eating meat. The first great leader of Lithuania was Mindaugaus.
  • Holidays
    • In many ways Christmas Eve is more important than Christmas Day. In the evening the entire family gathers for a twelve course meal.
  • Government
    • Lithuania has an elected president, who serves a five year term. But the prime minister is the one who leads the government.
  • Climate/ Weather
    • The lowest tempature of Lithuania is around 27 degrees. The hottest it can get is about 61 degrees. Plus there is more than 750 rivers and 4,000 lakes.
  • Continent/ Hemisphere
    • They are in the North, East hemispheres. The continent the are in is Europe.
  • Population
    • There population is 3.6 million people. More than 80% are ethnic Lithuanian and about 67% of Lithuanians live in cities and towns.

    • In Lithuania the highest point there is Grauspitz. The total area of Lithuania in square miles is 61.
  • Language
    • Lithuanian is the country’s official language. It was polish intel the 13 century. In the years of independence( 1918-1940) Lithuanian became the official language.

    • In Lithuania they eat very different types of food. For one they eat cepelinai, vedarai, and kugelis.
