The document discusses style choices for a magazine, including a mood board, fonts, and color schemes. For the mood board, the images use repetition of black and white and color photography in a professional yet non-studio style. Font 1 is selected as the main title font as it is bold, clear, and stands out while still being readable in different colors. The color scheme includes purple, which is seen as gender neutral and will complement the black and white background image, with the magazine title in white but the "M" in purple to draw interest.
2. Mood board
In these images there is a large repetition in the colours used. I think these images work together as there is a mix
between black and white and colour photography. These images look professional yet they aren’t taken in a studio.
When taking my images I think I may use the black and white style as I think that will compliment my headlines and
title well. I also like the repetition of the logo throughout all these images which helps to link them together.

The fonts at the top and bottom of the page are
my favourite fonts I have found, however I think I
will only use the top one as it is easy to read and
will stand out against other magazines. I think this
font looks really good because its really bold and
stands out. I think it is really important that
magazine fonts stand out especially for the main
title as this is what catches the readers eye and
draws them in. out of all the fonts I have looked at
this is definitely the clearest font which is really
important. I also like this font because I think it
would look good in a range of different colours
such as light blue or purple whereas the other fonts
may become less clear if the colour of the font
was changed. I think it is important to pick a font
that looks just as good and is as easy to read when
the colour is changed. I think colour change with
font 3 would make it really difficult to read as it isn’t
that clear a font anyway. I think font 4 is too thin
for a magazine house font. I don’t think it would
stand out very well if it was on the front of a
magazine which might make people lose interest
in the magazine. I really like fonts 5&6 but I want to
use font one as I think it is much clearer even
though I think the graphics on 5&6 are much more
interesting.
4. Colour schemes
I have chosen these three colours because I thought they worked well with my theme and my target market. I
have planned my background image to be black and white so I think a bright purple would really compliment it. I
think my house font colour will be white with the ‘M’ in purple. I think this will draw interest to my magazine more
than if the font is all in one colour. I have chosen purple as I think it is a gender neutral colour that looks just as
good in different hues.
