Expansion Plans<br />Videocon plans to enter the insurance sector.<br />The company is in talks with three French multinational insurance<br />companies for a possible joint venture for the<br />same.<br />Planning to acquire South Korea’s third largest<br />electronics manufacturer Daewoo Electronics.<br />This acquisition would allow it to strengthen its presence in key markets including the US, Korea, Japan and the EU.<br />Videocon plans to expand its activities in the oil<br />and gas sector. It has recently bid for block in Egypt<br />and is also exploring opportunities in the potential countries.<br />
