AOP – A VERY COMMON TERM <ul><li>It’s a very common term in market now a days </li></ul><ul><li>Every company takes a lot of pains and time to make it for next year </li></ul><ul><li>Top management team decides what needs to be done next year to become leader in market </li></ul><ul><li>Lots of data analysis is required </li></ul><ul><li>But AOP becomes practical only when there is a solid “WHY” behind it </li></ul><ul><li>Why I want the result, that I want to achieve by year end, why it is required…….. </li></ul>

WHY FACTOR – IT SHOULD BE STRONG <ul><li>Analysis should be around this WHY </li></ul><ul><li>Till the time FOCUS is around this WHY, the PLAN remain practical and executable or else it will be only paper workings……. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>e.g….. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Why I want to achieve the numbers that I am deciding </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Your WHY decides your goal and keep it reachable </li></ul><ul><li>In case your WHY is not strong, your goal will be Vague and so non achievable….. </li></ul>

WHY AOP IS REQUIRED <ul><li>AOP helps in building the action plan </li></ul><ul><li>It helps in making short term goals to achieve the ultimate objective </li></ul><ul><li>AOP analysis helps you in </li></ul><ul><ul><li>identifying GAPs which can hinder your progress </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>deciding Monthly, weekly, daily tasks which are required to achieve ultimate goal </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>giving clear direction what needs to be done </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>aligning everyone towards common goal </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>ensuring achievement of ultimate goals by reviewing monthly achievements </li></ul></ul>

WE ALL HAVE GOALS <ul><li>We all have Goals in Life and some of us make timelines as well for them e.g. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>I will have my own house by the age of 30 years </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>I will buy a luxury car in 5 years from now </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>I will have a package of 30 lacs in 5 years </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>I will send my child to abroad for higher studies </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Are these goals, actionable? </li></ul><ul><li>Ans is of course…… </li></ul><ul><li>But have we ever analyzed that what we have decided 5 years back, are we there today….. </li></ul><ul><li>Or we forget after every year what we have decided to achieve…. </li></ul>

WHY ITS DONE <ul><li>To ensure that the overall strategic objective of the organization is downloaded to the last mile </li></ul><ul><li>To align every individual of the organization towards the common goal </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure all the action plans should be directed towards the strategic objective </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure every task and project to be actionable and should not be vague </li></ul>

HOW IT BECOMES ACTIONABLE <ul><li>The strategic objective comes with a “WHY” </li></ul><ul><li>All the functional responsibilities are aligned towards the common objective </li></ul><ul><li>All the top strategies are cascaded till the last mile and well connected with the quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily tasks </li></ul><ul><li>All the KPIs of employees are aligned keeping in account the strategic objective of the organization </li></ul><ul><li>All the targets are set to ensure achievement of AOP </li></ul>

WHAT’S THE RELEVANCE WITH PERSONAL GOALS <ul><li>Its almost the same </li></ul><ul><li>We as a family or an individual too have long term / short term goals </li></ul><ul><li>These goals should be divided as per the categories </li></ul><ul><li>All goals should have a timeline </li></ul><ul><li>All goals then should be divided in smaller goals which can have quarterly, monthly achievement targets </li></ul><ul><li>All goals should have some activities which we can perform on daily basis coz </li></ul><ul><li>“ If we need an addition in our life, we should add something in our daily routine” </li></ul>

INDEPENDENCY IS IMPORTANT <ul><li>To achieve your desired goals its important to have independency </li></ul><ul><li>You can achieve your goals when its only up to you to take decisions and perform activities </li></ul><ul><li>So we should find a way wherein </li></ul><ul><ul><li>we can perform daily activities in our busy schedule </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>we have total independency to take decisions </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>We have total control on whatever we do </li></ul></ul>

KEY TO SUCCESS - 2 WORDS GAME <ul><li>There are only two words which can lead us to achieve our goals in desired time </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Efforts – which should be continuous </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Focus </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Efforts or activities to be made which we can perform daily </li></ul><ul><li>Focus comes only when there is continuity in our efforts </li></ul><ul><li>And then everything will be taken care of by </li></ul><ul><li>“ Law of Attraction” </li></ul>
  14. 14. <ul><li>So are we finding it worth to make AOP for our lives </li></ul><ul><li>Are we ready to achieve what is there for us and just a Focus is required </li></ul><ul><li>Give it a serious thought as it requires nothing to work on it but has a lot to offer </li></ul>
