HOW PEOPLE USED TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER IN THE PAST WHEN THERE WAS NO I NTERNET AND NO N ETWORKING ? <ul><li>The answer is very simple and we all know is :- </li></ul><ul><li>Via telephone and meetings . </li></ul><ul><li>Earlier business, sharing information, data, files, discussion etc was very difficult but due to the emergence of Internet, it has made our lives easy and convenient. </li></ul><ul><li>This was so because everything was done via personal contacts, meetings and all… which means through </li></ul><ul><li>face to face personal contacts </li></ul>

BUT TODAY :- <ul><li>Everything is done over the internet </li></ul><ul><li>Discussions… </li></ul><ul><li>finding Solutions … </li></ul><ul><li>Sharing files… </li></ul><ul><li>information…. </li></ul><ul><li>Buying/selling of almost everything. </li></ul><ul><li>We feel connected with our friends, family members, colleagues, corporate world, and rest of the world via internet only coz its cheap and easily available and accessible. </li></ul><ul><li>So the question which arises is how do we connect with these people ? </li></ul>

SOCIAL NETWORK SERVICE <ul><li>A social network service focuses on building online communities of people who share interests and activities , or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. </li></ul><ul><li>created new ways to communicate and share information </li></ul><ul><li>chatting, messaging, email, video, voice chat, file sharing, blogging, discussion groups, and so on are the features of this service . </li></ul><ul><li>Popular methods now combine many of these, </li></ul><ul><li>With  Face book  widely used worldwide; </li></ul><ul><li>MySpace ,  Twitter  and  LinkedIn  being the most widely used in North America </li></ul><ul><li>QZone is famous in China. </li></ul>

WHAT IS SOCIAL NETWORKING ? <ul><li>Put simply,  social networking  is a way for one person to meet up with other people on the Net . </li></ul><ul><li>Some people use social networking sites for meeting new friends on the Net. </li></ul><ul><li>Other's use it to find old friends. Then there are those who use it to find people who have the same problems or interests they have, this is called niche networking. </li></ul>
