  • drnorth: I believe that some studies have been, and that actually they suggest you can use a lower level of reflectivity on a steeper slope. I do not have a link to a direct study, but this one does discuss steep slope roofs at certain points. http://bit.ly/QGmh4j

  • The goal of this study is to show that 'cool roofing' lowers temperatures by reflecting the solar radiation. Why does this study not take into account steep sloped roof where the solar radiation that is reflected just heats an object surrounding the structure? If the structure has a steep sloped roof then the structure heating is not the only factor to consider. Has that study been done?
