INTRODUCTION
It is with great pleasure I invite you to support „Answers for Kids Cancer’. This is the first program of its
kind in Australia, and its goals are to improve survival rates for children with cancer and reduce their
suffering.
Over the past 30 years tremendous advances have been made in the fight against childhood cancer, which
has raised the survival rate for children with cancer to over 70%. However this still means that almost 30%
of children diagnosed with cancer don‟t survive.
We need your help to support Answers for Kids Cancer and give hope to our greatest asset, our children.
The Steven Walter Foundation is seeking to raise $1,000,000 for the Answers for Kids Cancer Program at
CCIA and Sydney Children‟s Hospital. We need your help to fund the expensive process of pre-clinical drug
testing and early phase clinical trials and to develop new and more sensitive tests to assess a child‟s
response to treatment.
With your support, we believe we can one day eliminate childhood cancer in Australia, and we invite you to
