  • DUE DATES
    • June 28: Set task
    • July 7 Preliminary task due (group)
    • narrative theory task due (individual)
    • July 7/8 filming preliminary
    • to present rough ideas of opening sequence
  • The TASK
    • 1 person walking towards other person and sitting down and having a conversation with each other (max 1 minute)
    • Must use/consider:
      • -match on action
      • -2 shots
      • -over shoulder shot
      • -reverse shot
      • -follow 180 degree rule
      • -be conscious of continuity

  • Planning the task
    • First decide who is doing what, remember storyboard and script should be done together.
    • You must have:
      • Overhead plan – see examples
      • This is to plan where things are laid out and how the cameras will be moved/placed

    • Script
    • This is to document all dialogue (what actors are saying)
    • Storyboard
    • This is to show what will be on screen in each shot.
    • Shotlist
    • This is a list of all of your shots

    • -2, 3, 4 to work together!
    • -remember to plan to use match on action!
    • -remember continuity errors/problems!

    • Match on action is having a series of shots to show 1 action.
