"We understand that many of our customers will be concerned by this news, and we apologise sincerely for any distress.-Tim Smith Tesco has promised to buy more meat from UK in an attempt to prevent an other  horsemeat "We are already the biggest customer of UK agriculture, with all our beef coming from UK and Ireland farms. But we can do much more. Clarke told Sky News on Wednesday morning: " We feel the need to bring the food closer to home. We think its right to bring more of it back to the UK, so long as we can get the demand from the UK." we should stop scouring the world for the cheapest products they can find and start sourcing high-quality, traceable product from farmers here at home.” ..they immediately withdrawn from sale all products from the supplier in question, from all their stores and online... Tesco promised refunds to customers who had bought the contaminated .
