    3. General Social Media Rules
      Whatever you say is permanent and can be passed around.
      Do not say anything you wouldn’t say to someone face to face.
      If you wouldn’t want your boss or mother to see it then don’t post it.
      Focus on relationships first
    4. More general tips
      Make social media a part of your marketing and not all of it.
      Do not be afraid to take the relationship off line.
      Always be professional and represent your real self.
      When getting started, choose one site to focus on before moving on to another one.

    6. 10 Facebook Do’s
      1. Create a professional profile.
      Use a picture of you.
      Include your website link or up to 4 website or blog links.
      Include your hobbies and interests
      Join at least one network
    7. 2. Post Notes
      At least 2x per week.
      Make them interesting and useful.
      Offer information people want to read and will read.
      Cover different topics.

      1. Top 10 tips.
      2. Support or stir up awareness about an issue or a cause.
      3. Something slightly controversial.
      4. Ideas about how to do something.
      5. Information about a local event.
      6. Questions and Answers
      7. Personal Experiences

    9. 3. Join and participate in groups
      Although you can join up to 200 groups. I recommend no more than 50.
      Offer valuable information to the people in a group.
      Befriend some of the members of a group.
    10. 4. Create Your Own Group.
    11. 5. Post videos.
      At least one every couple of weeks.
      Make them short, interesting and to the point.
      Offer them on a wide variety of topics.
    12. 6. Make new friends
      Add at least 10 new friends per day 5 days per week.
      Find friends who share common interests. Use groups, search, your hobbies and local network to help you.
      Add a brief note when you request a new friend to tell them who you are and why you should be their friend.
    13. 7. Add a Profile HTML Box
      Use this to capture subscribers to your newsletter list or to offer a free report directly on your profile.
      Must set up autoresponder first, information on this is in your packet.
    14. 8. Create a fan page
      One for yourself, a favorite location, or item but no people.
      Click on advertising at the bottom of the home page and then on pages. Create Page.
    15. 9. Use Facebook Regularly
      Change your status at least 2x per day 5 days per week.
      Add or update something or befriend a few new people every day.
      You can do this in 10 minutes or less.

      Become an affiliate and offer a few products.
      Create your own and sell them.
      Offer a business opportunity

      1. No poking, sheep throwing, mafia wars etc.
      2. No spamming.
      3. No adding more than 30 friends per day.
      4. No posting links on friends walls.
      5. No direct solicitation.
      6. No goofing around.
      7. No messaging large numbers of people with links.
      8. No posting ads in groups.
      9. No fake profiles
      10. No double profiles

      1. Talk about what you are doing.
      2. Share your blog posts.
      3. Share your videos.
      4. Offer free reports.
      5. Share links to articles, your own and other peoples.
      6. Share motivational quotes.

      8. Share pictures.
      9. Communicate with others.
      10. Ask Questions.
    21. Top 10 Squidoo Tips
      1. create lenses based on popular keywords.
      2. create lenses on a variety of topics.
      3. keep them updated- small changes at least every two weeks is a good idea.
      4. include at least 6 modules but no more than 20.
      5. complete your Squidoo profile.
    22. 6. favorite new lenses regularly.
      7. comment on new lenses regularly.
      8. take advantage of SquidU and many of the Squidoo blogs out there.
      9. be patient
      10. include links in your lenses.
