  • Banana Leaf School Phuket Computer and network in school
  • Why they need a network in their school  They use internet network for search knowledge and sent an e-mail.  Computer link them together to Sharing of program and data in school.  Sharing of peripheral devices for example printer
  • The school detail:  4 large buildings with classrooms - 20 room in each building  1000 students - 30 classes  1 building for teachers - about 70 teachers
  • How many computers do you think they need ?  100 computers because they don’t use computer in the same time, so  use for teachers 25 computers,  use for students 70 computers, and  in library use 5 computers.
  • What hardware and software would they need ?  Hardware 210 monitors, keyboards, mouses and CPU. 10 Projectors, speakers and microphones.  Software Microsoft office, Antivirus Software, Photoshop, Dictionary, MSN, Firefox, and Window media player.
  • Which network would be the best ?  Local area network [LAN] and Campus area network [CAN] because in school have many point use LAN and use CAN to connect LAN together  Wireless network because some student take notebook and play internet from wireless.
