  • 1. Region X Northern Mindanao is the eco-tourism hub of the Philippines. The region is composed of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao Del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.
  • 2. • Bukidnon • Bukidnon is a landlocked province, and is home to the Philippine Eagle. • Camiguin • Camiguin is considered as the Garden of Eden of the Philippines. This volcanic island is spectacularly beautiful, with its virgin jungle, exotic flowers, natural hot and cold springs, majestic waterfalls, and black and white sand beaches. • Lanao Del Norte • Lanao del Norte is known for its abundant water resources. The city of Iligan has 20 waterfalls and the most famous of them is Maria Cristina Falls, whose height is up to 320 feet.
  • 3. • Misamis Occidental • Misamis Occidental has many delights that will please the local and foreign tourists. Natural attractions include the Regina Cold Spring, Naomi's Botanical Garden, Hoyohoy Highland Park in Tangub, and the beaches of the Seven Islands in Plaridel. Entertainment includes the Sinanaduloy Dance Troupe. And Panguil Bay which known for its fish traps and tiger prawns. • Misamis Oriental • Misamis Oriental is a haven for eco-tourism. Natural attractions include the Initao-Libertad protected landscape and seascape, which has a verdant forest and a marine sanctuary.

Located in the municipality of Lantapan, Impasug-ong, Sumilao, ManoloFortich, Libona, Baungon, Talakag & Malaybalay City, Bukidnon Its attractions are:Dulang-dulang mountain peak Lalawan waterfall mossy forest, caves, Philippine Eagle, WWII crash site, sacred sites: Mt. Dulang-dulang, Mts. Apolang and Lunayon; Alas-as, Licoan, Sumilao & Alawon, Silpipon, Libona The activities offered are: mountain trekking, bird watching, caving, canopy adventure rapelling and rock climbig The facilities are :Heritage center, trail system
  • 5. Did you know? Rising up to 9,696 ft. above sea level this second highest peak in the Philippines has been declared as highest in bio diversity. The temperature varies from 64 to 65 F and is planted mostly with Alvizza Falcatria and other medicinal trees.

  • 18. REGION XI Southern Mindanao
  • 19. Southern Mindanao is composed of Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Davao Oriental.
  • 20. Compostela Valley Compostela Valley is mainly agricultural while the eastern part is mostly mountainous. Natural attractions include cold springs, cascading falls, butterflies and exotic wildlife. White sand beaches include Copiat Island. Davao del Norte Davao del Norte has 32 rivers including the Agusan River. Natural sites include the islands of Talicud, Ligid and Palma Gil, and the Caliclic and Talicud Caves.
  • 21. Davao City is the center of travel and trade in the Southern Philippines, known for the exotic fruit 'durian', the Waling-Waling orchid, the Philippine Eagle and Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the country. Natural attractions include caves, waterfalls, rapids and mountains. Davao del Sur Davao del Sur is rich in agriculture and farms which include fish farms at Kiblawan and Santa Maria, a prawn farm and cocoa plantation in Malita, a sugar mill in Magonoy, a coconut desiccating plant in Santa Cruz and a fruit farm in Mt. Carmel nursery in Bansalan. Natural attractions include Balut Island, Tudaya Falls, Mariscal Beach, Mt. Apo and the Sibulan River.
  • 22. Davao Oriental Davao Oriental has both historical and natural sites. Historical sites include Ballestic Island, a fortress built by the Spanish Conquistador Villalobos, and the 17th Century Caraga Catholic Church. Natural attractions include the hot springs at Kalapagan and Pangyan, the islands of Sigaboy, Waniban and Cabugao and Aliwagwag Falls. The 'Tinagong Dagat' or Hidden Sea in San Isidro is a unique natural formation situated 1,000 feet above sea level. Sigaboy Floating in Governor Generosa is an island with the shape of a giant whale. White, gray and black sand beaches include Aroma, Bakayan, Bitoon, Manay and Taragona.
