In line with our philosophy of giving our clients an up, close & personal
experience we endeavour to make our clients walk the best possible routes in a
specific region and give them the true local flavour. Unlike a lot of other
companies who prescribe to the totally 'rough it out' way of running their trips we
don't mind admitting that we like our clients to be trekking with some bit of
comforts. We as a company believe that tasty/nutritious food, great campsite
and a comfortable bed at the end of the day is very essential to a trekking trip

2. THE IMPORTANT REGIONS THAT OUR TREKS COVER
 Garhwal: The region consists primarily of rugged mountain ranges
that are interspersed with valleys that have the rivers running through
them. The treks here are a mountaineer's delight, with the high alpine
meadows forming the perfect viewing for the Himalayan peaks that
seem a stone's throw away. Garhwal's prominent peaks are Nanada
Devi, Kamet, Trishul, Badrinath and Kedarnath.

3. JEWEL OF KUMAON HIMALAYAS : MILAM GLACIER &
NANDA DEVI EAST BASE CAMP TREK
 This trek takes one on a remote
trail, a trade route between India &
Tibet which existed more than a
century ago

4. OUR TEAM
 NALIN  Great Indian Outdoors owes its genesis to Nalin
and his passion for adventure. With a germ of
an idea and a great love for the outdoors he
founded the company in 1999 and today is its
Managing Director. Though an accomplished
engineer and management graduate, Nalin
found his true calling in the outdoors and can
always be found espousing the cause on the
Himalayas.
He has been instrumental in making GIO a
name to be reckoned with in the space of
adventure travel in India with his uncanny ability
to spot great locations and, great people to work
with. Given a choice Nalin would have his office
in Mori at the foot hills of the Har-ki-dun valley
but for infrastructure practicalities. No surprises
then that Nalin was featured on "Young Turks"
on CNBC TV18.
