  • 1. ANALYTICS FOR PH‟S:CONTENT ANALYSISLocate worst content for optimization
  • 2. Login to Google Analytics https://www.google.com/analytics  Select the profile of your website % traffic change comparation with the last month
  • 3. Acces to „worst content panel”
  • 4. Date range and posts sorting Select the date range that you want to analyze. Choose one month at leastThen, sort the results by „Tasa de rejeçao” and choose “tipo de classificaçao: ponderada”
  • 5. Check and optimize the posts You should optimize the posts that seems to be interesting for the visitors. A good point is check the avg.time on page. Open the post and check:  Internal links with related post or pointing to some /cat  Number of images  Galleries are a nice option. We want to increase pageviews  Long text? Nextpage for pagination  We have related posts on the site? No? Write them and interlink both  Check the visitors comments. Can we improve the post?
  • 6. Mark and follow the evolution After the post edit, we should put a note on Analytics  Double click over the graph  Enter the date of the post edit and the post title  Save
  • 7. Check the metrics Enter to the post metrics clicking the entry URL Select a date range to compare the metrics before and after the changes Check if we improved some stats:  Taxa de rejeiçao (we want to reduce it)  Páginas/visita  Porcentagem de saída
  • 8. Have we improved the numbers? YES NO  - Check the post one more time - Any other idea? Do it - Take a look to the “content optimization” power point - Still not improve the metrics? - Don‟t waste more time - Maybe the users are not finding what they are looking for
