Angry Birds1: Gaming- Angry BirdsAngry Birds, produced by the games company, RovioEntertainment, is widely regarded as one of the most popularand best selling apps ever made, with over 12 million copiespurchased from the app store. The addictiveness comes fromits simplicity, each level consisting of a building containing pigsthat must be knocked down in order to defeat the pigs. Thefurther the player progresses, the harder the levels. The gamehas also received numerous spinoffs in recent years, bothwithin the angry birds universe and completely separate fromit altogether.The paid version of Angry Birds costs 99 Cents, however thereis also a free version.

  4. 4. Snapchat2:Social- SnapChatFour university students at Stanford Universitydeveloped Snapchat in 2011. The app allowsusers to take photos, record videos, add text ordrawing, and send them to a recipient, shortlyafterwhich they are deleted from the recipientsdevice. It has proven popular as a substitute fortraditional text based chatting applications, suchas facebook. Snap chat is a free app.

  6. 6. AP Mobile3:AP MobileAP Mobile is a news application that draws itsinformation from a variety of media sourcesworldwide. As it does this, the informationdisplayed is not as biased as other newsorganisations i.e. Fox News. Has a very simpleinterface, headlines displayed in a column andexpanded when the user taps on them. Users canshare articles with others and edit what news theyreceive. The app, like most news apps, is free.

  8. 8. Google Maps NavigationGMN is a navigation app that uses thefunctionality of google maps. The app alsomakes use of the Telenav GPS program, whichmakes the phone double up as a satnav.The locator/map is free, but the Telenav featureis paid for via subscriptions.
