SOUL Of a Woman<br />The foundation of her work is based on her life experiences.<br />Maya Angelou was born on April 4, 1928 as Marguerite Annie Johnson.<br />At three Maya Angelou and her brother went to live with their grandmother.<br />Maya Angelou was raped at age seven by her mother boyfriend.<br />Maya Angelou left home at sixteen to take the role as a single mother <br />
