    • The Gothic style: it started in Spain as a result of Central European influence in the twelfth century (alternating with Romanesque).
    • The High Gothic arrives through the pilgimage route, the Way of Saint James (13th century).
    • The most important Gothic styles in Spain after the 13th century are:
      • the Levantino , characterized by
        • its structural achievements and
        • the unification of space.
      • the Isabelline Gothic , made under the Catholic Monarchs.
    • The Gothic style was sometimes adopted by the Mudéjar architects, who created an mixed style, employing European techniques and Spanish-Arab decorations.
