Anaesthesia peri-operative care, and Critical Care provision form an integral part of burns care and are thus part of this resuscitation anaesthesia change. Bringing burns critical care in line with modern general adult and paediatric in- tensive care is highly desirable, but will need to be achieved with minimal disruption to continuity of service and with careful attention to sta¡ retention.
