About I was born and lived in Westminster, Central London, during the “swinging sixties”. My primary school, St Peters, Eaton Square, was right next door to Buckingham Palace, where as pupils we regularly sang/waved flags and smiled sweetly and toothlessly for visiting kings, presidents and other VIP’s. It was a very optimistic and dynamic time, I remember watching men walk on the Moon, walking to school singing Beatles songs with my mum and watching England win the World Cup on a flickering black and white TV. My dear old mum and dad must have been astonished and relieved at this new world for their children, given their sacrifices during WW2.
