Site-generated power was ruled out early

Lessons Learned
End User expectations: a primary factor
Custom finish selections; luxury expectations not always in line with LEED guidelines.
Economic factors rule
Long-term energy saving benefits accrue to buyer, not builder. Short-term decision lens was used.
In this case, for various reasons, the developer was not able to push a significant premium to end-user

Energy Modeling not required in LEED for Homes track
Team Coordination is paramount
A LEED Platinum building is not a perfect, sustainable building
Real world execution may falter
Ongoing performance standards are now written into the LEED rating system, before they were not
