Openness and the Disaggregated Future of Higher EducationWe are certainly on the right way. Using the 6 characteristics it appears nonetheless that current ‘open’ courses do not effectively orchestrate the points ‘connected’, ‘personal’ and ‘creating’ – and this is something we now might want to focus on. There are still to many things ‘lost’, no ‘continuity’, and students still have to start ‘from scratch’ – using the web as an example shows that the informal virtual learning space works different, and finding way to leverage this into our courses would be clearly desirable.7 months ago

Developing Open Content Like Open SoftwareHi Jason
I really liked the Open Learning Production slide (besides this "e").
However, I don’t see students as being the bug tracking army only, and I also don’t see this clear divides on groups.
If you follow up on the open source line than students could be also writer, developer, editors, or designer. This will depend on individual abilities.
Nevertheless very interesting presentation.
I assume there are more people at the OU working on the same area than me that I don’t know, than the ones that I do know.
Cheers
