    • Comets are huge objects in space that are made of ice and dust.
    • They move around the sun in an oval path.
    • Scientists learned about them when five space rockets flew past a comet.
    • Their tail is 100 million miles and its nucleus is 9 miles.
    • Halley’s Comet passes by us every 76 years.
    • Its front is like a dirty snow ball.
    • They can have one or two tails.
